MISSION

Our mission is to nurture creativity, support artistic growth, and bring original Bay Area stories to life through film.

We believe San Francisco’s film community is at its best when we create together, share resources, and show up for one another’s work.

As a hub that brings together the resources and opportunities available across the Bay Area, we aim to encourage more people to step into creative industries and contribute to San Francisco’s cultural soul.

At its core, San Francisco Film Collective is built to help more films get made, keep more artists here, and help the Bay Area remain a home for filmmakers.

ABOUT

San Francisco Film Collective is a hub for filmmakers, storytellers, and creatives rooted in the Bay Area. We bring together emerging filmmakers, industry professionals, film students, and everyone passionate about cinema to build a stronger creative community.

Through events with industry speakers, networking mixers, skill-building workshops, and mentorship programs, we aim to create a space for people to inspire one another, develop ideas, share feedback, collaborate, and lean into their creative worlds.

We also hold a database of organizations, festivals, and funding opportunities across the Bay Area, helping connect filmmakers to existing resources throughout the local film community.
